Various modalities can be used to enhance orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) by accelerating the process, while others focus on improving retention to prevent relapse after treatment. These methods are either surgical (invasive), non-surgical (minimally invasive), or involve the use of different types of retainers and biomedical agents.
