"Neuroinflammation is a critical biological process involving the immune system's response within the central nervous system (CNS), often triggered by infection, injury, or disease. Recent research has highlighted its significant role in the progression of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). This seminar will explore the complex relationship between neuroinflammation and neuronal degeneration by examining cellular and immune pathways, the role of glial cells, and the influence of genetic and environmental factors.
