"Comparative Study on the Nephroprotective Effects of Cilnidipine and Lercanidipine in a Rat Model of Cisplatin-Induced Acute Kidney Injury.” Brief Summary: Cisplatin is a highly effective chemotherapy drug, but its clinical use is limited by severe kidney toxicity (nephrotoxicity). This study aims to investigate whether cilnidipine and lercanidipine, two calcium channel blockers used for treating hypertension, can provide protective effects against cisplatin-induced kidney damage. The experiment will be conducted on rats, where acute kidney injury will be induced by cisplatin. Then, treatment with either cilnidipine or lercanidipine will be evaluated.
