"Aim: • To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of Alvocidib and (CDK inhibitors) compared to Mesalamine in a DSS-induced acute colitis rat model. and to assess whether combination therapy (Alvocidib + Other Therapeutic CDKi) produces additive or synergistic effects. • To explore the mechanisms of action of CDK inhibitors: • Suppression of inflammatory transcription • Inhibition of NF-κB activation • Downregulation of MCL‑1 or other pro-inflammatory proteins Hypothesis: • CDK inhibition will more effectively reduce colitis severity and inflammatory gene expression than mesalamine. Key Parameters / Outcome Measures 1. Clinical / Gross Measures • Disease Activity Index (DAI): body weight loss,
