"Polymeric nanomicelles are promising drug delivery systems in ophthalmology, offering enhanced solubility of poorly water-soluble drugs, protection against degradation, improved corneal penetration, and prolonged ocular residence time. These nanosized carriers (10–100 nm) possess a core–shell structure with a hydrophobic core and hydrophilic shell, making them ideal platforms for delivering ocular therapeutics such as antibiotics, anti-inflammatory agents, and anti-glaucoma drugs. By reducing dosing frequency and improving bioavailability, polymeric nanomicelles provide a significant advancement in ocular drug delivery and patient compliance.
