Bulk and conventional composite restorations differ in application and material formulation; conventional composites are placed in thin, multiple layers (up to 2mm), while bulk-fill composites are designed for deeper increments (3-5mm) in a single placement due to their higher translucency and improved light penetration, offering significant time savings.
