Indirect posterior restorative materials include ceramics (like lithium disilicate and zirconia), resin composites, and noble and base metal alloys. These materials are used for restorations such as inlays, onlays, and crowns that are fabricated outside the mouth in a dental laboratory or by an in-office milling device and then cemented or bonded to the tooth.
