Distributed machine learning (DML) in the Internet of Things (IoT) is the application of machine learning (ML) algorithms across multiple distributed devices or nodes in an IoT network. Instead of centralizing data and computation in a single server, DML enables processing to be distributed among the devices in the network, which can include sensors, edge devices, and cloud servers.
