This workshop, AI in Academic Research: Using ChatGPT, Elicit, and Scite Responsibly, introduces participants to practical applications of artificial intelligence in research. It highlights how ChatGPT can support idea generation, drafting, and refining academic writing; how Elicit assists in systematic literature reviews and evidence synthesis; and how Scite evaluates research credibility through smart citation analysis. Emphasis is placed on ethical and responsible use, avoiding overreliance, and ensuring transparency in integrating AI tools into scholarly work. By the end, participants gain hands-on strategies to enhance productivity, critical thinking, and integrity in academic research with AI assistance.
