Emergency management of airway obstruction involves immediate steps like head-tilt/chin-lift/jaw-thrust to clear the airway, followed by back blows and chest/abdominal thrusts (Heimlich) for foreign bodies, and rapidly progressing to suctioning, intubation (awake or general anesthesia), or emergency surgical airways (cricothyrotomy/tracheostomy) if basic maneuvers fail, all while maintaining ventilation and calling for advanced help.
