نبذة مختصرة
A Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) is a type of mobile ad hoc network (MANET) designed specifically for vehicles. It enables communication between vehicles (V2V) and between vehicles and roadside infrastructure (V2I). VANETs aim to improve road safety, traffic efficiency, and provide infotainment services. They were first proposed in 2001 as car-to-car communication systems and are now considered a key component of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). VANETs face challenges such as high mobility, dynamic topology, and security concerns, but they hold promise for evolving into the broader Internet of Vehicles.
