Pharmacovigilance (PV) plays a critical, continuous role in the lifecycle of a drug, serving as the "unsung hero" that ensures drug safety through post-marketing surveillance. While clinical trials provide initial data, PV fills the gap by identifying rare, long-term, or unforeseen adverse effects that arise only when a drug is used by a wider, more diverse population, which can lead to label changes, usage restrictions, or total market withdrawal
