Introduction: Satellite is an artificial object which has been Intentionally placed into orbit. Satellites are used for a large number of purposes. Common types include military and civilian Earth observation satellites, communications satellites, navigation satellites, weather satellites, and research satellites. About 6,916 satellites have been launched. The latest estimates are that 3,900 remain in orbit. 2. What Exactly is a Satellite? The word Satellite originate from Arabic word Satell meaning attendant, one who is constantly hovering around and attending to a master or big man. A satellite is simply anybody moves around another (usually much larger) one in mathematically predictable path called an orbit. 3. History of Satellite CommunicationIn 1957 with the U.S.S.R.’s launch of the first artificial satellite, called Sputnik. In 1958 by the American artificial satellite score. broadcast a message from President Eisenhower to stations around the world.In 1960: (NASA) a reflector satellite, called Echo.
