More children die of brain tumors than any other form of cancer. In the US, >28,000 children and teenagers are living with the diagnosis of a primary brain tumor. There are > 100 different types of brain tumors, making diagnosis and treatment challenging. Malignant gliomas are the most common and deadly brain cancers. Gliomas can be divided into 3 main types: astrocytomas, oligodendrogliomas, and ependymomas.
