The construction industry is criticized for causing striking impacts on the environment; Therefore, the industry seeks to adopt sustainable practices to reduce these impacts. One such practice is to introduce the concept of sustainable materials to industry, however, there is no single agreed upon definition of what "sustainable building materials" are, and they are generally considered environmentally friendly materials.
